Hitler stopped the army just before Dunkirk because he believed that the Luftwaffe (German air force) could finish off the trapped Allied forces without the need for a ground assault. Additionally, he wanted to conserve his army's strength and resources for the upcoming invasion of France. Hitler also hoped that by allowing the British and French forces to escape at Dunkirk, it would create a false sense of security and make it easier for Germany to defeat them later on. **

It is difficult to determine the exact number of soldiers Hitler could have killed in Dunkirk, as it would depend on various factors such as the effectiveness of the German military strategy, the resistance put up by the Allied forces, and the logistical constraints of the German army. However, it is estimated that around 338,000 Allied soldiers were evacuated from Dunkirk, so theoretically Hitler could have killed a significant portion of these soldiers if the evacuation had not been successful. Nonetheless, the actual number of casualties would have depended on the specific circumstances of the battle. **

I prefer series because I enjoy the longer story arcs and character development that can occur over multiple episodes or seasons. I find it more engaging to follow a story over time rather than in a single sitting. Additionally, I appreciate the variety of genres and styles that series offer, allowing me to explore different types of storytelling and themes. **
